<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City council of the City of Paris did. on October 10, 1988,
<br />approve a construction project wherein Martin Luther King. Jr. Drive is to be extended
<br />from 6th Street N.E. west to Main Street, the planned right-of-way of which will eliminate
<br />Lot I, Block 3, Hull Addition, which is currently owned and occupied by Jonah Lyons;
<br />and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has purchased Lot 10, City Block 92. being number
<br />714 1st Street N.E., for the relocation of Mr. Lyons, and Mr. Lyons is agreeable to
<br />accepting said property in trade for Lot I, Block 3, Hull Addition; and,
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the form of the deed from the City of Paris to Jonah Lyons. attached
<br />hereto as Exhibit A, should, in all things, be approved, and the Mayor of the City of Paris.
<br />Eric S. Clifford, should be authorized to execute the same; NOW, THEREFORE,
<br />
<br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY 01<' PARIS, that
<br />Lot 10, City Block 92, being number 714 1st Street N.E., be conveyed to Jonah Lyons in
<br />trade for the conveyance to the City of Paris of Lot I, Block 3, Hull Addition, by Jonah
<br />Lyons, widower of Willie Mae Lyons, and heirs at law of Willie Mae Lyons; and.
<br />
<br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the form of the deed from the City of Paris
<br />to Jonah Lyons for property located on Lot 10, City Block 92. attached hereto as Exhibit
<br />A, be, and the same is hereby approved; and.
<br />
<br />BE IT HJRTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor of the City of Paris, Eric S.
<br />Clifford, be, and he is hereby, authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of
<br />Paris, the deed to Jonah Lyons under the terms and conditions and in the form shown in
<br />Exhibit A, attached hereto.
