MINUTES <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />AIRPORT ADVISORY BOARD <br />COX FIELD AIRPORT <br />6780 COLLIER DRIVE <br />PARIS TEXAS <br />THURSDAY, DECEMBER 20 2018 <br />5:30 O'CLOCK P.M. <br />1. The Airport Advisory Board meeting was called to order by Chairman Ray Ball at 5:30 p.m. <br />The following members were present: Ray Ball, Jimmy Noble, Anna Spencer, Nathan Bell, <br />David Taylor, Brad Meyers and Scott Avery. <br />Also present: John Godwin, City Manager, Jerry Richey, Airport Manager; Paula Portugal, <br />City Council Liaison; Lance Nicholson, Engineer Technician and Triniti Frazier, Community <br />Development Coordinator. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting of November 15, 2018. <br />David Taylor arrived at 5:35p.m. <br />Motion was made by Nathan Bell and seconded by Anna Spencer to approve the minutes. <br />Motion carried 7-0. <br />3. Discussion regarding delinquent hangar rentals. <br />Triniti Frazier reported the delinquent hangar rental in the 60-90 day range is for Jimmy Smyers <br />in amount of $9.00. <br />4. Discussion regarding private hangar leases. <br />Godwin provided a spreadsheet of the city owned hangars. He states he found that our record <br />keeping has not been where it should be. Part of the problem is some of the people that are <br />actually in hangars are not the same people that have leases. Some individuals swap out and <br />we may or may not know. When that happens they should execute a new lease. All leases <br />should be kept by the City Clerk and we're in the process of getting that cleaned up. Godwin <br />states he checked the language of all the leases and there are insurance requirements and they <br />all specifically are prohibited from having anything other than airplanes or aviation related <br />items in the hangars. Old cars, lawn mowers, living arrangements as well as inoperable <br />airplanes are not allowed. Godwin states there is a lot that needs to be cleaned up and he will <br />depend on Richey to address those things initially for voluntary compliance. If we're not able <br />
