The meeting was called to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />2 <br />3 <br />Absent: <br />Sarah Barbee <br />Guests <br />Carl Harcrow <br />Paul Denney <br />The April 10, 2019 meeting minutes were approved by acclamation <br />A motion was made by Commissioners Vandiver to recuse Commissioner Hider, seconded <br />by Commissioner Emmite, motion carried. <br />Two Certificates of Appropriateness Applications were reviewed. <br />833 S. Church: Randy Hider recently purchased the property and plans on rehabilitating <br />it. He proposed to replace mismatched underpinning with wooden lap underpinning. He <br />proposed to build wooden steps on the front of the house. He also proposed addition of a <br />dormer to the front of the house to assist with the requirements for fire safety for the <br />remodeling of the second floor into bedrooms while the property is being reroofed. He <br />had picture examples of what he was proposing, and excerpts from the design standards <br />on addition of the dormers. A motion was made by Commissioner Coyle to approve the <br />rehabilitation project as presented, seconded by Commissioner Lazar. Motion carried 6-0. <br />Commissioner Emmite made a motion to reinstate Commissioner Hider, seconded by <br />Chairman Dux, motion carried. <br />240 Bonham: Carl Harcrow recently purchase the property and wants to rehabilitate the <br />two facades. The original facades do not exist, and the front has been filled in with <br />wooden shingles, brick and aluminum doors. Mr Harcrow proposed to remove the infill <br />and replace it with the configuration of a base or kickplate, display portion of the door <br />and glass window and transom and canopy. He researched and could not find any historic <br />photos of the property. Mr. Harcrow presented his own hand drawn renderings. After <br />removing current infill he wants to reconstruct the new facade with a display, entry and <br />display configuration. Materials will be wooden.
