Paris Public Library Advisory Board <br />Meeting Minutes <br />September 18, 2019 <br />Opening: <br />The regular meeting of the Paris Public Library Advisory Board was called to order at 4:03 p.m. by Chairwoman Carol <br />James. <br />Present: <br />Board members present were Carol James, Melanie Loughmiller, Ashley Lassiter, Rebecca Umphrey, Marilyn Threadgill <br />and Denise Kornegay. Director Priscilla McAnally was also present. Christina Schock was absent. <br />• Approval of Minutes: <br />The minutes of the August 21, 2019 meeting were unanimously approved. <br />• Citizen Forum: <br />No one from the public was in attendance. <br />• New Business: <br />None <br />• Old Business: <br />Director reported that the new security gates are in and will be installed within 2 weeks. Also, the I" <br />Street wall mural is in progress and should be completed tomorrow. The deck is complete and in use. The <br />Paris Fire painting has been returned to the library and is waiting for maintenance to hang it. <br />• Presentations: <br />• Budget Report was presented for review with no comments. <br />• Statistical Report was presented with no comments. <br />• Friends of the Library: <br />No report <br />• Director's Remarks: <br />Director reported that the city book club met at Oak Park and chose 3 books to read over the next 3 months. <br />Meetings will continue to be on Fridays at 2:00 monthly. <br />The next meeting will October 16, 2019 at 4:00pm. <br />Adjournment: Meeting was adjourned at 4:27 p.m. <br />Submitted by: Ashley Lassiter, Secretary <br />
