• A promotions meeting will be held immediately following the Main Street meeting to discuss Mannequin Night <br />and Festival of Pumpkins. <br />7. Coordinator's Report — Cheri Bedford reported the following. <br />• 6:00 PM, September 24, 2019 there will be a social media training for downtown businesses with the event <br />sponsored by PDA. Broadway will be the speaker. The meeting will be in the Council Chambers. <br />• Main Street nominated three candidates for the Texas Downtown Association's President's Awards. The three <br />include: Paris Bakery for Best Renovation Remodel, Glee Emmite for Downtowner of the Year and Downtown <br />Mini Golf as the Best Promotion. Mini Golf was named a finalist in the Best Promotion category. There will be <br />voting on FaceBook in late September or early October to determine the People's Choice. <br />• Janet Green finished the building at 27 Clarksville Street, and the building is for sale/lease. She did receive a <br />facade grant from HPC and Building Improvement Grant from Main Street for the project. <br />• Plaza Art Gallery will provide rock painting as the Art in the Market on September 14, 2019. <br />• Pumpkin Patch opens October 4, 2019 at the Farmers Market. <br />• Public Works will decorate the Plaza with a fall theme beginning September 30, 2019. <br />• Mannequin Night will be October 19, 2019. Jill Awtrey needs a couple of volunteers to monitor the voting box <br />for the window contest. <br />• Christmas tree lighting is November 23, 2019. Cheri Bedford is working on securing funds for new garland for <br />the tree. <br />• The Dr. Pepper mural is set to begin the first week in October on the west side of the PCT office building on First <br />Street SE. <br />• Hatch Chile was a big success. Comments and suggestions were shared by all. <br />• The City of Paris and Main Street have purchased big self -watering flower pots for around the Plaza. They are <br />expected to arrive by the end of September. <br />• The Festival of Pumpkins, scheduled for October 26, 2019, needs volunteers for the games for kids. <br />8. Future agenda item — Glee Emmite asked Kaydee Tate to research possible fundraising ideas for January or <br />February with the money going to buy additional self -watering flower pots. <br />9. William Walker made a motion to adjourn, second by Kaydee Tate, motion carried.
