Draft <br />RESOLUTION <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES <br />AGREEMENT WITH HAYTER ENGINEERING, INC., FOR DESIGN OF A <br />PUMP TRACK PROJECT; MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS <br />RELATED TO THE SUBJECT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris has received an outdoor recreation grant from <br />Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) that would provide a 50% cost match <br />for a pump track project as provided in the City's park plan; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the Texas Professional Services Procurement Act, <br />Texas Government Code Chapter 2254, and Section 2254.004, the City Council finds <br />that Hayter Engineering, Inc. is the most qualified provider of design and <br />engineering services for the design of the pump track project and that city staff has <br />negotiated a fair and reasonable price for said services with said Hayter <br />Engineering, Inc.; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris, Texas authorizes the Interim <br />City Manager to enter into a Professional Services Agreement with Hayter <br />Engineering, Inc., in the amount of $64,400.00 for design of a pump track. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, TEXAS: <br />SECTION 1. That the City Council hereby approves and authorizes the Interim <br />City Manager to enter into a Professional Services Agreement in with Hayter <br />Engineering, Inc., in the amount of $64,400.00 for design of a pump track. <br />SECTION 2. That the Interim City Manager is hereby authorized to act on <br />behalf of the City in all matters relating to this Professional Services Agreement and <br />to execute all necessary documents, relative to the pump track project. <br />SECTION 3.
