Hashmi <br />Ex -Officio Members Present: <br />Paul Allen, Lamar County Chamber President <br />Pam Anglin, PJC President <br />Gene Anderson, Interim City Manager <br />Legal Counsel: <br />Stephanie Harris <br />Call to Order. <br />MINUTES <br />City Councilors Present: <br />Steve Clifford, Mayor <br />Clayton Pilgrim <br />Renae Stone <br />Paula Portugal <br />Linda Knox <br />Staff Present: <br />Michael Paris, Executive Director <br />Chris Stout, Economic Development Associate <br />Paula Brownfield, Administrative Assistant <br />Janice Ellis, City Clerk <br />Guest(s) Present: <br />Mary Madewell, The Paris News <br />Mayor Clifford and Chairman Hernandez both called the joint special meeting of the Paris City Council and Paris <br />Economic Development Corporation to order at 5:30 p.m. on November 14, 2019. <br />Convene into Executive Session: <br />1) Pursuant to Section 551.087 of the Texas Government Code to (1) discuss or deliberate <br />regarding commercial or financial information that the governmental body has received from <br />a business prospect that the governmental body seeks to have locate, stay, or expand in or <br />near the territory of the governmental body and with which the governmental body is <br />conducting economic development negotiations; or (2) to deliberate the offer of a financial or <br />other incentive to a business prospect described by Subdivision (1), as follows: <br />+ Project Rainwater Falls <br />+ J. Skinner Bakery <br />Mayor Clifford convened the City Council and Chairman Hernandez convened the PEDC Board into a joint <br />Executive Session at 5:30 p.m. <br />
