<br />RESOLUTION NO. 90-100 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Paris continues to <br />be aware of the necessity of maintaining and improving its <br />Municipal Airport, Cox Field in order to serve the needs of the <br />citizens of Paris; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris intends to request financial <br />assistance from the Texas Department of Aviation for these <br />improvements in the form of perimeter fencing, drainage work, <br />helipad construction, asphalt overlay on parking lot and entrance <br />road and taxiway extensions to runways 17 and 35; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Paris intends to name the Texas <br />Department of Aviation as its agent for the purposes of receiving <br />and disbursing all funds for these improvements and for the <br />administration of contracts necessary for the implementation of <br />these improvements; NOW THEREFORE, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, <br /> <br />1. That the City of Paris process an application for funds for <br />perimeter fencing, drainage work, helipad construction, <br />asphalt overlay on parking lot and entrance road and taxiway <br />extensions to runways 17 and 35 at Cox Field Airport, Paris, <br />Texas, at the appropriate time, and with the appropriate <br />authorizations of this governing body, all applications, <br />contracts, agreements and loan agreements with the State of <br />Texas, represented by the Texas Department of Aviation, and <br />such other parties as shall be necessary and appropriate for <br />the implementation of the improvements to the Cox Field <br />Airport. <br /> <br />2 . <br /> <br />That <br /> <br />Joe McCollum, <br />Development, <br />Director. <br /> <br />Director of Community <br />be, and he is hereby <br /> <br />appointed Project <br /> <br />3. That the Texas Department of Aviation of the State of Texas, <br />be, and it is hereby appointed agent for the purposes of <br />receiving and disbursing all funds for said project. <br /> <br />4. That Michael E. Malone, City Manager, be, and he is hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute and deliver on behalf of <br />the City of Paris the letter of intent to pursue financial <br />assistance, necessary applications, communications, <br />instruments and documents necessary for the completion of <br />said project. <br /> <br />5. That the letter of intent heretofore transmitted, a copy of <br />which is attached as Exhibit "A", is hereby in all things <br />ratified. <br /> <br />Passed and adopted this 10th day of December, 1990. <br /> <br />~f-<"" ----..::::' -----., <br />'>- ~f;f t: <br />
