Box 12607 <br />Austin, Texas 78711 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Wilkins: <br /> <br />The City of Paris by this letter and accompanying resolution indicates <br />its intent to pursue financial assistance from the Texas Department of <br />Aviation for the followin9 improvements to the Cox Field Airport: <br /> <br />Perimeter Fencin9 <br />Drainage Work <br />Helipad Construction <br />Asphalt Overlay for Parkin9 Area & Entrance Road <br />Taxiway Extension to Runways 17 & 35 <br /> <br />The cost of these improvements is presently estimated to be <br />$343,700.00. The City of Paris understands that state financial <br />assistance may be available for up to 90 percent of the eligible <br />costs. The remainin9 share of eligible costs and any ineli9ible costs <br />shall be the responsibility of the City of Paris. The City of Paris <br />further understands that all or a portion of its share may be due in <br />cash upon TDA request, and that this may occur as early as October 1, <br />1991. <br /> <br />The City of Paris also indicates its intent to enter into an <br />Inter90vernmental Agreement with the Texas Department of Aviation, <br />namin9 the Texas Department of Aviation as its agent for the purposes <br />of receivin9 and disbursing all funds for these improvements and for <br />the administration of contracts necessary for the implementation of <br />these improvements. The City of Paris has reviewed the text of the <br />Texas Department of Aviation's standard "Airport Project Participation <br />A9reement," and has found the terms and conditions of the A9reement to <br />be acceptable. <br /> <br />Si ncere ly, <br /> <br />Michael E.
