7. Updates from Community Partners - <br />Becky Semple, Tourism Director from the Chamber of Commerce & VCC — The following items were <br />shared. • A red kiosk has been installed near the Eiffel Tower to provide visitors with Paris information. • The <br />pump track riding surface has been installed with total project completion coming soon. • Barber Hills Bike Trail <br />ride is in September. • Tour de Paris is scheduled for September 26th. <br />Glee Emmite shared the following info: 1) HPC — Rigby's on the north side of the plaza received a <br />Certificate of Appropriateness for the front of their new business. A Certificate of Appropriateness was approved <br />for the front of Priest Emporium. It will be a three phase project. Planning is underway for a virtual "Imagine the <br />Possibilities Tour" featuring Clarksville Street and the buildings that are available for sale or lease. Holy Cross <br />Episcopal Church received a Certificate of Appropriateness to convert a window into a door to serve as another exit <br />as recommended by the Paris Fire Department. Fagade grants were given to Rigby's Cigar Bar and Dr. Spencer for <br />an orthodontics office at 134 l't Street SW. 2) PDA is meeting tomorrow, August 12th. <br />8. Coordinator's Report — Cheri Bedford discussed the following. 1) Cheri has been meeting with a distributor for <br />all up -light options around the plaza. 2) She is researching the possibility of getting lights installed in all of the <br />bowls of the fountain. 3) Cheri is researching the addition of a restroom at Farmers Market. 4) The Festival of <br />Pumpkins will be downtown this year and planned around a social distancing format. Vendor applications are <br />already coming in. 5) The possibility of scheduling Wine Fest after the Festival of Pumpkins is being investigated. <br />6) South Main Iron sponsored a social media influencer to visit Paris recently. The information is posted under the <br />name of `Exploring Amanda." 7) Cheri showed everyone the GIS mapping program that the City of Paris uses. All <br />sorts of information about Paris can be located on the map program. 8) Putt Putt Golf raised $500 which will be <br />donated to the Paris Food Pantry. A photo will be arranged soon. <br />9.
