<br />PARIS TEXAS <br /> <br />DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISE POLICY STATEMENT <br /> <br />It.is the policy of the City of Paris to encourage the participation of <br />disadvantaged business enterprises in the contracts and programs it funds with <br />federal assistance monies. . Paris has in the past, as. a matter of both <br />principle and law, established an Affirmative Action Program to ensure that no <br />person is discriminated against on the bases of race, color, creed, national <br />origin or sex in any program associated with Paris. This policy is to ensure <br />that disadvantaged business enterprises receive a fair percentage and fair <br />dollar volume of the contractual business done by the City. <br /> <br />This policy will be implemented by the structures of a Disadvantaged Business <br />Enterprise program under the prOV1S10n of 49CFR Part 23, with specific <br />emphasis on Rules 23.43 and 23.45. All provisions of this regulation will be <br />strictly adhered to as well as wholeheartedly endorsed and practices by the <br />City, its agent and emp.loyees. ' , , . <br /> <br />As a first step in implementing this program, copies of the plan will be made <br />available to members of the City Council, and disadvantaged business organiza- <br />tions.
