Motion carried unanimously. 6-0
F. 654 E Washington; Gibbons Park Block 2, Lot 7
Owner: Gary Goss, 654 E Washington, Paris TX 75460
Robert Talley stated that he's received numerous complaints from the neighbor.
The lady who lived there is deceased. People are in and out all the time and
someone who lives on the property said that they have electricity. Robert is
waiting to hear from Larry Willis at Oncor because he doesn't know if there is
power. The house has foundation issues and fire damage— the back of it is
burned. Not secure and the neighbor thinks that drug users are going in and out.
Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo within 30 days, or
city has right to do so.
Discussion: Put orders on it now and determine if the lady has a right to be there.
If she's a squatter, we can do what we want. If she has a legal right to be there,
then we can't.
