b. 123 Bonham St. Storefront Rehabilitation: Jeff Faber was present to represent the <br />certificate of appropriateness and asked the commission if they had questions. <br />Commissioner Caffey helped with presentation of the project. She worked with the <br />applicant to mitigate the previous fagade and develop an appropriate storefront. The <br />applicant discovered evidence of a prior wooden storefront while rebuilding. This was <br />prior to the midcentury metal framing that existed before 2020 renovations. The framing <br />showed signs of deterioration. <br />The proposed store front includes a 4 inch divide between two display glasses on either <br />side of the recessed entry. Wood pilasters will frame a 3/ inch double door with a glass <br />transoms above the doorway. After discussion from the commissioners a motion was <br />made by Commissioner Coyle to approve the application as presented, and seconded by <br />Commissioner Emmite. Motion carried 5-0, with Commissioners Caffey and Matthews <br />abstaining. <br />Mr. Faber requested a $2500 50150% matching fagade grant for the rehabilitation of 123 <br />Bonham. Commissioner Coyle made a motion to approve the fagade grant request. The <br />motion was seconded by Commissioner Emmite. Motion carried 7-0 <br />Corrections to the Historic Preservation Rules of Procedure were reviewed. A motion was <br />made to adopt the Rules of Procedure by Commissioner Vandiver, seconded by <br />Commissioner Long. Motion carried 7-0 <br />The Commission reviewed a portion of the Historic Preservation Ordinance. <br />Commissioner Emmite made the request to add education to the future agenda. <br />Hearing no other items, a motion was made to adjourn at 4:38 p.m. by Commissioner Caffey, <br />seconded by Commissioner Vandiver.
