change and the other was in favor. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Rebecca Haralson, states that she lives out of town and has tried to sell this property for six <br />years but no one is interested in building a single-family home that has Loop 286 frontage. <br />She has to pay to keep it maintained. Haralson states there is interest in the property but <br />they will not purchase until the property has a more appropriate zoning. <br />The public hearing declared closed. <br />A Motion was made by Sims Norment, seconded by Clifton Fendley to approve the <br />petition. Motion carried 5-0. <br />5. Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of HR Jones <br />Enterprises LLC for a change in zoning from an Agricultural District (A) to a <br />Commercial District (C), in the City of Paris, Block 170-C, Lot PT of 14, LCAD 120611, <br />located in the 2500 Block of S Church Street. <br />Grayson Path states that Hunter Jones is requesting a change in zoning from an <br />Agricultural District to a Commercial District. This site is 1.895 acres. The Agricultural <br />zoning designation is a holding district, therefore, does need to change to a more <br />functional zoning. Commercial uses are to the east and west of this property on S. <br />Church. The future land use calls for Commercial zoning and its more intense uses <br />reaching to and encompassing Loop 286 to the south and SH 19/24 to the west. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Ramona Hill states that her mother, Virginia Taylor, owns the property that backs up to <br />this one and she wants to make sure her property zoning does not change from <br />Agricultural. Chairman Lindsey advised that this petition only affects the subject <br />property. <br />The public hearing was declared closed. <br />A Motion was made to approve this item by Clifton Fendley, seconded by Sims Norment. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />6. Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of Russ Davis on behalf <br />of Linda and Johnny C Miles, SR for a change in zoning from a Light Industrial District <br />
