A motion was made to grant a certificate of appropriateness far the rehabilitation of the <br />rear entryways of 111 Lamar Ave as presented by Commissioner Coyle, seconded by <br />Commissioner Vandiver, Motion Carried 7 - 0 <br />Mr. Cook was not present to discuss the facade grant request so it was tabled. <br />The commission reviewed the following list of properties on the consent agenda and <br />determined they could not be rehabilitated or designated as a historic property as designated <br />by City Council. <br />A. <br />473 NE 5th <br />B. <br />418 & 420 Tudor <br />C. <br />405 SE 3rd <br />D. <br />401 E. Sherman <br />E. <br />1523 Neatherly <br />F. <br />1904 E. Cherry <br />G. <br />1505 20th NE <br />H. <br />207 E Center ST <br />Commissioner Emmite made a motion to approve the consent agenda. Motion seconded by <br />Commissioner Vandiver, motion carried. <br />Commissioner Matthews gave an education committee report. The committee start a <br />Facebook & Instagram page and will be looking for a clever name. The hope is to have it <br />ready to go by end of April. The first objective was to educate the public about what the <br />Historic Preservation Commission does and emphasize its purpose. The commission <br />discussed a clever name for the page. Commissioner Matthews suggested a monthly <br />newspaper article. <br />Cheri Bedford gave a report on certificates of appropriateness approved in house. A window <br />restoration class is scheduled for May 15, 2021. Class will be led by Brent Hull from Hull <br />mill works. <br />Commissioner Coyle gave information on the Imagine the Possibilities tour scheduled for <br />June 19. A tent will be set up on the plaza as home base for the tours.
