Robert Talley stated that Joyce Freemans son William Freeman is present. <br />Robert Talley brought this property to Building and Standard last August but the <br />Building official left the City and he is now bring it back after Roger Colson the <br />new building official has inspected it. The structure has a lot of storage inside; <br />fire damage from an attic fire, no holes in the roof, broken windows, back of <br />house has missing and deteriorated wood. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, repair within 60 days, or <br />city has right to assess civil penalties. <br />Owner: William Freeman 286 Creekwood Dr. Sunnyvale, Texas. Mr. Freeman <br />stated that Joyce had over 80 properties he is dealing with and he will secure and <br />repair the property. He feels that 60 days will be enough time to repair the structure. <br />Discussion: Commission asked for clarification on repairs and asked if Roger felt <br />these repairs could be done in 60 days. Roger Colson, building official stated the <br />structure can be fixed in 60 days (but not just working on the weekends) but it will <br />have to be rewired to bring up to code. <br />Motion made by Carlton Cooper, seconded by Kim Walker, to accept Robert <br />Talley's recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />I. 2211 E Polk; City Block 254, Lot PT 7 <br />Owner: Joyce Freeman, Joyce is in bad health and her son William Freeman <br />286 Creekwood Dr. Sunnyvale, Texas is overseeing her properties. <br />Robert Talley stated that Joyce Freemans son William Freeman is present. <br />Robert Talley stated that this structure had a fire; it is unsecure, full of junk and <br />rubbish, holes in structure from fire. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo within 30 days, or <br />city has right to do so. <br />Owner: William Freeman 286 Creekwood Dr. Sunnyvale, Texas. Mr. Freeman <br />stated that Joyce had over 80 properties he is dealing with and he will demo the <br />property but needs 60 days. <br />Discussion: The Commission wants the structure secure. <br />Motion made by Richard Thompson, seconded by Carlton Cooper, to demo <br />the property in 60 days, but the property has to be secured in 14 days, or the <br />city has the right to do so. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />A. 1337 W Houston; City Block 190. Lot 3 <br />Owner: Earline D. Thomas & Donald D Bell 729 Ash St. Paris, TX <br />Robert Talley stated Cindy Foiles 1337 W Houston Paris, TX is present and that <br />Cindy Foiles does not own the property but moved her storage shed onto the <br />property. Robert Talley provided a handout with the info concerning all the events <br />that have occurred with Cindy Foiles since she moved the storage shed onto the <br />
