Steve Clifford, Richard Thompson, James O'Bryan, and Tuesday Chadwick also spoke in <br />opposition of this petition. <br />Bill Foley, Paula Portugal, and Bill Sanders live in the Brownwood development and <br />spoke in favor of this zoning change as it is currently single-family homes in this area and <br />all cite concerns of increased traffic, decreasing property values: <br />The public hearing was declared closed. <br />Commissioners further discussed this item and the consensus was that the LCAD 116525 <br />property should not be included in this request. Mack asked City Attorney Harris if by <br />motion the commission could amend the agenda item to remove that portion affecting the <br />MF2 zoning. Harris advised that a new hearing would be required separating the items. <br />A motion was made by Sims Norment, seconded by Michael Mosher to deny the petition. <br />Motion carried 5-0. <br />10. Public hearing to act on a petition by the City of Paris to adopt an ordinance amending <br />the zoning map for the Suburban Estates Addition and Cope Street north of Fine Mill Rd. <br />from an Agricultural District (A) to a One -Family Dwelling. District No. 2 (SF -2). <br />Mack states this area is currently developed as single-family residences. The city annexed <br />after the development began in this area. The procedure for establishing permanent <br />zoning on annexed territory was not completed when the Suburban Estates and Cope <br />Street north of Pine Mill Rd. was developed. Following the Commission's discussion at <br />the June work session, staff was directed to initiate a map amendment to establish <br />permanent zoning for this area. <br />The public hearing was declared open. <br />Deanna Mowery, 1125 Meadowlark, states the roads are bad and wants to know if the <br />roads will be widened with any new development. Chairman Lindsey referred Mowery to <br />the City Manager's office. <br />Bernado Wolf, 200 CR 34550 of Sumner, own property within 200 feet of this are and <br />wants to know how this change would affect his property. Mack explained this would not <br />affect his property. <br />A motion was made by Clifton Fendl.ey, seconded by Chad Lindsey to approve the <br />petition. Motion carried 5-0. <br />
