<br />STATE OF TEXAS ~ <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR ~ <br />THAT, the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, <br />corporation, acting by and through its Mayor, <br />Burnett, hereinafter referred to as CITY and <br />Scott, d/b/a Scott's Janitorial Service, Rt. 5, <br />Paris, Texas 75460, hereinafter referred to as <br />contract and agree as follows: <br />1. The CITY wishes to procure and SCOTT desires to <br />provide maintenance and custodial service for the following <br />City of Paris buildings: City Hall, Water Billing Office, <br />City Hall Annex and the Paris Public Library as described in <br />the bid documents being legal notice, scope of work and bid <br />form, attached hereto as Exhibits "A" through "c" and <br />incorporated herein for all legal purposes and the consider- <br />ation of such services shall be $1,300.00 per month. <br />2. CITY and SCOTT each bind respectfully itself, its <br />successors and assigns and heirs to this agreement and to <br />the covenants contained herein. SCOTT shall not assign, <br />sublet or transfer its interest in the contract without the <br />written consent of CITY. <br />3. The term of this contract begins on the 1st day of <br />December, 1987, and runs until such time as CITY or SCOTT <br />gives sixty (60) days written notice to the other that the <br />same is terminated, which termination can be without cause. <br />CITY retains the right to terminate said contract upon <br />thirty (30) days written notice for SCOTT'S failure to <br />perform the services required under this contract. <br />4.
