Chairman Dux called the meeting to order at 4:15p.m. <br />2. The minutes of the July 14, 2021 meeting was approved by acclamation. <br />3. Discussion and possible action of the following Certificates of Appropriateness <br />a. 120 E. Long Ave New single family residence. <br />Mr. Hider presented his plans for a home to be constructed on the vacant lot located at <br />120 E. Long Ave. The homes in the vicinity are all single story and his plan is to do a <br />single story home. A google search shows there was at one point of time a single story <br />home in this lot. Mr Hider made mention that there was an option to flip the house plans, <br />which he may do in order to preserve the pecan tree. He has met the setback <br />requirements. His horizontal siding will be smooth and painted with a historic color. He <br />is planning on using the Fibrex windows. The plan for the windows is a one over one, no <br />mullions as pictured in the concept. Front door will be real wood and a 3/ glass door. He <br />will determine the color when the house is complete. Commissioner Caffey made the <br />motion to approve the Certificate of Appropriateness as presented. Seconded by <br />Commissioner Emmite, Motion carried <br />Without objection the following items were moved up on the agenda for consideration by <br />the commission. <br />Fagade Grant request: A motion was made by Commissioner Emmite to approve the <br />faVade grant request for the new single family home being built by Randy Hider on the <br />property located at 120 E. Long Ave. Motion was seconded by commissioner Matthews, <br />motion carried. <br />Tax Abatement: A motion was made by Commissioner Vandiver to accept the tax <br />exemption agreement for a New Historically Compatible single family home on the <br />property located at 120 E. Long Ave to be built by Randy Hider. The motion was <br />seconded by Commissioner Caffey, motion carried. <br />b. 10 N. Plaza- Fagade Construction- Mr Gary Flynn, owner of the property being <br />developed as Rigby's Cigar Lounge reread what was submitted by J. D. Marrs of Paris <br />Drafting to the commission and determined the drawings were not the correct drawings <br />
