Inc. <br /> <br />CONTRACT DATE 6/1/86 <br /> <br />The fo,lowing changc~ arC hereby made to the Contract Documents: <br /> <br />The following text shall be added to paragraph 13.2 under the section Tests and <br />Inspections, in Article 13-Warranty & Guaranty, on page 18 of the General Conditions of <br />the Contract: <br /> <br />"Contractor shall install isolation transformers on the incoming power circuit serving <br />the pump station facility. The proposed installation and equipment shall be approved <br />by the Engineer prior to installation. Upon installation, a six month test period <br />shall commence during which no component damage in the variable frequency drives, other <br />than fuses, shall be permitted to occur and no more than one unexplained automatic <br />disconnection of the variable frequency drives shall be permitted to occur. Lightning <br />and heavy winds are agreed to be potential explanations of automatic disconnection. If <br />the level of service provided by the variable frequency drives satisfies the conditions <br />of this test, then Owner will pay Contractor for cost of supplying and installing the <br />isolation transformers. The scope of the work undertaken by the Contractor as a part <br />of the installation effort and the price for that effort, as well as the price of all, <br />materials and equipment, shall be agreed upon prior to installation. Should the <br />equipment level of service provided by the variable frequency drives not satisfy the <br />test condition, then all rights available to the Owner during the warranty period under <br />the contract shall continue to be available to the Owner and Owner shall not be <br />obligated to pay for any equipment or installation effort associated with installation <br />of the isolation transformers.
