ITER <br />E N G I N E E R I N G <br />August 2, 2021 <br />Grayson Path, City Manager <br />City of Paris <br />PO Box 9037 <br />Paris, TX 75461 <br />Re: Scope of Services for Civil Engineering Design for Cox Field Taxiway Extension <br />Mr. Path, <br />Thank you for giving Hayter Engineering the opportunity to provide a proposal to the City of Paris regarding <br />the design for an extension to the taxiway at Cox Field Airport as generally shown in the attached site plan. This <br />letter is to give an overview of the proposed scope and fee. <br />Hayter Engineering will provide topographic surveying and civil design services for the construction of the <br />taxiway extension as generally shown in the attached site plan. <br />An outline of our proposed services is provided below. <br />Topographic Surve <br />0 Topographic Surveying <br />o Topographic surveying of the area for design purposes will be performed. <br />• The survey will be performed using GPS equipment based on the NAD83 - TxNCF <br />coordinate system. <br />• The location and elevation of existing topographic features will be surveyed (buildings, <br />pavement, and ground shots). <br />Design Engineering Phase Services <br />0 Civil engineering and design plans preparation. <br />o General <br />9 Site layout will be as shown in the attached layout. <br />• Taxiway Extension <br />• A new 740 -foot taxiway extension for hangar access is planned on the west side of existing <br />Hangar A7 and connects back to Taxiway A. <br />• A Geotechnical report will be completed to provide design recommendations for the cross <br />section of the taxiway based on 30,000 lb aircraft loading. The design recommendations <br />will be determined using FAA Pavement Design Method/FAARFIELD Software. <br />• Grading/Storinwater <br />• The site will be graded to follow the natural topography as much as possible while also <br />conforming to the proposed taxiway. <br />• Recommended finished floor elevations of the hangars will be provided. <br />• Culverts will be sized for installation under the taxiway and also under the pavement <br />connecting the new taxiway to the proposed hangars to convey the runoff which will be <br />calculated using Rational method based on a specified storm event (as directed by City). <br />• Contract Document Preparation <br />Practical Infrastructure <br />4 445 SE Loop 286 I Parts, TX 75460 I haytereng coni <br />
