Motion carried, 4 ayes — 0 nays. <br />14,9 Discuss and act on an Ordinance authorizing the issuance of a solid waste collection <br />permit to Sanitation Solutions. <br />Mayor Pro -Tem Hughes said items 14 through 18 required five votes for passage so they <br />would need to table the items. <br />A Motion to table items 14 through 18 was made by Council Member Pilgrim and <br />seconded by Council Member Savage. Motion carried, 4 ayes — 0 nays. <br />15. Discuss and act on an Ordinance authorizing the issuance of a solid waste collection <br />permit to Richard Mark Boswell, Jr. d/b/a Dumpster Drop,, LLC. <br />16. Discuss and act on an Ordinance authorizing the issuance of a solid waste collection <br />permit to Nelson and Tanna Stoll d/b/a Countryside Disposal, LLC. <br />17. Discuss and act on an Ordinance authorizing the issuance of a solid waste collection <br />permit to JOTS Rentals, LLC. <br />18. Discuss and act on an Ordinance authorizing the issuance of a solid waste collection <br />permit to Raymond Tabor d/b/a Big R's Roll Off Service. <br />19. Discuss and act on renewing the Landfill Services Agreement with Waste Connections,, <br />Inc. <br />Mr. Path explained that the ten-year landfill services agreement expired in March 2021 <br />and that neither City Staff nor Waste Connection, Inc. had this on their radar to prepare for. He <br />said he was informed after the fact, and that the City had been on a month-to-month extension <br />with Waste Connection. Mr. Path also said that Waste Connection had asked that the City make <br />a decision regarding a renewal by October 1, which was understandable. He said the City may <br />enter into a renewal contract with Waste Connections. City Attorney Stephanie Harris said that <br />solid waste services were an exception to Texas competitive bidding laws pursuant to Local <br />Government Code Section 252.022. Mr. Path said City Staff recommended renewing the <br />Landfill Agreement with Waste Connections, Inc. <br />Council Member Savage recommended the City move forward with renewing the <br />agreement with Waste Connections, as did Council Member Pilgrim. Mr. Path said staff would <br />work with Mr. Josh Bray and the City Attorney and bring a new agreement back to the City <br />Council,. <br />20.0 Consider and approve future events for City Council and/or City Staff pursuant to <br />Resolution No. 2004-08 1. <br />
