Promotion- Emily Temple gave a rundown of the latest Promotions Committee meeting. The committee
is confident in a fun filled and smooth Downtown Mini Golf event this weekend. They are organizing a
Scavenger Hunt to go along with the Hatch Chile Fest. Movies in the Park will return in October with an
Elvis theme to commemorate Elvis' trip to Paris in 1955 including a costume contest and "Brown Bag
specials" from Downtown restaurants. We are hoping for yet another great turnout for Mannequin Night
October 16th with the addition of Food Trucks; This event will be coordinated with Jill Drake. The
beloved Festival of Pumpkins will take place on October 23rd. Wine Fest will be postponed until it's
regular season, April 9th— rather than in November as previously discussed. Finally, the Committee is partnering up with local media
company DeadCat Media to produce a promotional video series highlighting each of the downtown
businesses.
b. As well as
compiling a step by step guide for future downtown business owners to clarify the procedures for starting
new businesses.
