d. Design - This month, the Design Committee strategically changed the locations of the Earth Planters
downtown. The change has really freshened up the downtown scenery. Much of the flowerbeds were
switched out just before the Tour de Paris with fresh plants to last the seasons to come. Soon, the filler
flowers in the planters will require changing out for the fall season; Tanner Dobrovolsky and Emily
Temple would like to help coordinate this. Angie Briscoe, with a local bank, would like to help as well
and has lots of volunteers, Cheri Bedford arrange contact with she and Tanner Dobrovolsky. One planter
was hit by a car this month and was resilient! Emily Temple recommends we reevaluate our procedure for
caring for the planters, proposing utilizing volunteers for watering and labor of the landscaping to cut
down on cost for the care of the planters. An "adopt a flowerbed/flowerpot" program could contribute to
the success of this volunteer based structure. The Design Committee will look into the logistics and
implementation of this strategy.
6. Coordinators Report- Cheri Bedford reports that we have plenty of Volunteers for the Downtown Mini
Golf event. Cheri Bedford then walked the Advisory Board members through the `Sign Up Genius"
platform. The event will need Main Street representatives at the Volunteer tent on Saturday from 11-5.
Board members and Chamber Liaison Becky Semple will divide and conquer accordingly. The Paris
Historic Commission has been very busy with new applications and many downtown developments.
Farmers market vendors are working very hard on the Hatch Chile event and it looks like this year will be
a great event. There will be a "Sign Up Genius" posted to source volunteers for this as well, similar to the
Mini Golf event. There will be an abundance of vendors, it will probably spill over into the Market Square
parking lot.
7. Future Agenda Items
a. Work Plan
8. A motion was made to adjourn at 5:04 p.m.by Kari Daniel and seconded by Emily Temple.
Signed this day of
Tanner Dobrovolsky,, aiareet Advisory Board Chair
