Chairman Dux called the meeting to order <br />2 <br />W <br />Council Liaison, Linda Knox <br />Staff Liaison, Cheri Bedford <br />Guests: <br />Marvin Gorley <br />Micah Bedford <br />Michael Black <br />B. A. Sessums <br />Mike Jones <br />Ellen Green <br />Leif Lindblom <br />The September 8, 2021 meeting minutes were approved by acclamation. <br />Certificates of Appropriateness: <br />a. Mr. BA Sessums project is to get his storefront second story windows repaired at his two <br />properties located at 6 & 10 Clarksville Street where he operates his business Jaxx <br />Burgers. He brought photographs of the damage, and detailed descriptions of the repair of <br />the sashes and the diagram of those that would be custom made in-kind due to <br />deterioration. Ms. Bedford stated the reason this is being brought to the commission is <br />that the applicant is requesting a fagade grant otherwise it would be considered ordinary <br />repair and maintenance. Chairman Dux asked for a motion. A motion was made by <br />Commissioner Coyle, seconded by Commissioner Matthews to approve the Certificate of <br />Appropriateness as presented. Motion Carried. <br />4. Fagade Grants: <br />A. Mr. Sessums requested a fagade grant for $2500 for 6 Clarksville for the restoration and <br />repair of existing windows, and construction of new sashes as needed on the second story <br />windows and the transom windows. A motion was made by Commissioner Emmite, <br />seconded by Commissioner Caffey to approve the request by Mr. Sessums. Motion <br />carried <br />B. Mr. Sessums requested a grant for $2500 for restoration and repair of the second story <br />windows on 10 Clarksville. A motion was made by Commissioner Coyle, seconded by <br />Commissioner Long to approve the grant request by Mr Sessums. Motion carried. <br />5. Mr. Marvin Gorley of HWH submitted a detailed explanation of the project to the <br />commissioners along with the Certificate of Appropriateness. The project includes the <br />
