HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION MINUTES <br />107 E KAUFMAN ST <br />PARIS, TEXAS 75460 <br />WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 12, 2022 <br />Present: <br />Chris Dux, Chair <br />Laura Caffey, Vice Chair <br />Glee Emmite <br />Matthew Coyle <br />Jessica Holtman, Alternate <br />Cheri Bedford, HPO <br />Linda Knox, Council Liaison <br />Absent: <br />Linda Vandiver, Secretary <br />Jennifer Long <br />Ryan Matthews <br />Chairman Dux called the meeting to order at 4:08 p.m. <br />The meeting minutes of November 12, 2021 were approved by acclamation <br />The commission reviewed the tax exemption request for the rehabilitation of the historic <br />structure located at 508 S. Main owned by Daniel and Robyn Elam. A motion was made to <br />approve the tax exemption by Commissioner Holtman, and seconded by Commissioner <br />Emmite, Motion carried. Chairman Dux commented on the work that was completed and the <br />huge improvement to the property. <br />Commissioner Coyle made a motion to approve the payment of fagade grant amount of <br />$ 1000 to Robyn and Daniel Elam for the rehabilitation work completed on 508 S. Main. <br />Motion was seconded by Commissioner Caffey. Motion carried. <br />Commissioners reviewed photographs of the work completed on the rehabilitation of the <br />second story windows on 10 Clarksville, and the second story and transoms on located at 6 <br />Clarksville St. The work completed met the requirements for the grant. A motion was made <br />to approve the payment of $2500 for the work completed on 10 Clarksville and $2500 for the <br />work completed on 6 Clarksville by Commissioner Holtman, seconded by Commissioner <br />Coyle, motion carried. <br />Commissioner reviewed the following list of properties determined by Code enforcement as <br />substandard, and in need of demolition or repair. The commission reviews the properties for <br />potential designation as a Recorded Texas Landmark, a Local Landmark, or listing on the <br />National Register of Historic Places. <br />A. 2750 W Campbell <br />B. 339 NW 19th <br />C. 1202 NE P <br />
