MINUTES OF REGULAR MEETING <br />AIRPORT ADVISORYBOARD <br />107 EAST KAUFMAN STREET <br />PARIS, TEXAS <br />THURSDAY, AUGUST 19 2021 5 30 P.M. <br />1. The Airport Advisory Board was called to order at 5:32 p.m. by Chairman Scott Avery. <br />Members present: Scott Avery, Ray Ball, Scott Hearne, Zachary Ebbs, Bill Allan, and Le Andra <br />Maughon. City Representatives: Paula Portugal, Mayor, Council Member Linda Knox, Grayson <br />Path, City Manager; Janice Ellis, City Clerk; Derek Dacus, Engineering Technician. Also, present <br />via Zoom was Paul Strahan. Member absent: Jim Bell <br />2. Recognize outgoing board member Anna Spencer. <br />Mayor Portugal recognized Anna Spencer for her six years of service on the Airport Advisory <br />Board. <br />3. Selection of chair for August 2021— July 2022. <br />Chair Scott Avery asked for nominations for chair. Ray Ball nominated Scott Avery to serve as <br />chair and Scott Hearne seconded the nomination. Mr. Avery asked if there were additional <br />nominations and there being none, he called for a vote. The board unanimously selected Scott <br />Avery as chair. <br />4. Selection of vice -chair for August 2021 -July. <br />Chair Scott Avery asked for nominations for vice -chair. Ray Ball nominated Scott Hearne and Le <br />Andra Maughon seconded the nomination. Mr. Avery asked if there were additional nominations <br />and there being none, he called for a vote. The board unanimously selected Scott Hearne as vice - <br />chair. <br />5. Citizen's Input <br />No one spoke during the citizen's forum. <br />6. Consider approval of minutes from the meeting of June 17, 2021.. <br />A Motion to approve the Minutes was made by Ray Ball, and seconded by Scott Hearne. Motion <br />carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays. <br />7. Receive follow-up report on city -owned hangars with regard to inspections and violation notices. <br />Ms. Ellis reported that city staff, along with Jerry Richey, conducted inspections on two different <br />days in April of the forty city -owned hangars. Of those forty hangars, Ms. Ellis said fifteen were <br />in violation as set out in the previous report and notices to vacate were sent to those tenants. She <br />
