Special Council Meeting <br />April 7, 2022 <br />Page 2 <br />Next, the City Council reviewed Code Enforcement, more specifically the following: 1) <br />more money for demolitions; 2) cleaning of ditches; 3) beautification; 4) general residential and <br />commercial code enforcement. <br />The City Council also discussed Community Development as follows: 1) city-wide <br />vacant home registry; 2) growing commercial and residential development; 3) affordable housing <br />and development in general; and 4) the 5 In 5 Program support. Council Member Pilgrim left the <br />meeting at 3:45 p.m. <br />City Staff member answered questions from City Council about downtown lighting, the <br />Grand Theater, demolitions, code enforcement, drainage ditch maintenance, and residential <br />development. <br />Assistant City Manager Robert Vine presented City Council with a tally sheet so that they <br />could individually score their priorities. Mr. Path said that once Mr. Vine obtained their score <br />sheets, he would tally those and produce a final tally sheet reflecting their goals as a body. <br />4. Adjournment. <br />There being no further business, A Motion to adjourn was made by Council Member <br />Savage and seconded by Council Member Moore. Motion carried, 6 ayes — 0 nays.
