that the new position will require more responsibilities specifically related <br />to teen programming. <br />iv. Materials. Tim would like to increase the budget for Overdrive by $3,000. <br />V. Basement update. Tim states that the Manager and Assistant City Manager <br />are both aware of the potential that the basement could bring to the library. <br />vi. Tim recommended that the library entryway be updated with a big screen <br />tv that provides the community with updates about current events. Tim <br />also suggested that the ceiling in the entryway be considered for <br />replacement. Steve asked if the current budget request is in line with what <br />the City of Paris would approve. Linda Knox said that yes, it is. Audrie <br />asked if it was possible to ask for more funding then. Tim said that with <br />more funding, the library might want to consider the entryway update, <br />electrical work, and flooring to be done. The advisory board agreed with <br />these recommendations and the budget request was adjusted to include <br />$20,000 for building updates and repairs. <br />vii. Grant Management. Tim reminded the library that the Teen Room, which <br />the current Library Advisory Board Meeting was held in, was made <br />possible with the grant that he applied for. There is still work that needs to <br />be finished using those funds for the Teen Room. <br />viii. ILL Grant. The Interlibrary Loan grant is a money -making opportunity for <br />the Paris Public Library. For each book that is loaned to the system, the <br />library earns $6 to $8 per book. The library currently loans about 60 books <br />a month. <br />IV. Old Business: <br />There was no old busines to discuss. <br />V. Presentations: <br />a. Budget Report. <br />The Budget Report was reviewed in New Business. Steve asked Tim if there was <br />anything else to consider before the board considered the budget update. Tim said <br />that the parking lot needed attention due to cracks. Noting this last item, Melanie <br />Loughmiller made the motion to approve the Board endorsement, with Myers <br />Hurt providing the second. All board members were in favor and the Library <br />Advisory Board endorsed Director Tim DeGhelder's budget. <br />b. Statistical Report <br />Volunteers are back and have currently clocked in 151 hours. There was a large <br />jump in program attendance, from 51 in 2021 to 303. Computer Instruction from <br />Ron Hervey was at 266. There were 2,555 hits to the library's Facebook page. <br />VI. Friends of the Library Report <br />a. Luncheon. Friends President Audrey addressed the board, stating that the Friends <br />of the Paris Public Library Luncheon will be on August 7t" at the Paris Golf and <br />
