NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF PARIS, TEXAS: <br />Section 1. That the findings set out in the preamble to this ordinance are <br />hereby in all things approved. <br />Section 2. That the boundaries heretofore established by the Zoning Map and <br />Ordinance No. 1710 of the City of Paris, Texas, be, and the same are hereby, changed, <br />and that the structure on the property located at 705 SE 3rd Street in the City of Paris <br />be, and the same is hereby designated as a Historic Structure, and that a Historic <br />Overlay District No. 18 (HD -18) be, and the same is hereby established on the same <br />property, as recommended by the Historic Preservation Commission and the <br />Planning and Zoning Commission, so as to include such Historic Overlay District No. <br />18 (HD -18) the hereinafter described property, while preserving the respective <br />existing use and zoning regulations of the property previously designated thereon, <br />and the boundaries of said Historic Overlay District No. 18 (HD -18) be, and the same <br />are hereby, established as follows: <br />SITUATED within the corporate limits of the City of Paris, County of Lamar, <br />and State of Texas, being the property known as City of Paris, Block 146, Lot 3, <br />LCAD Parcel No. 16382, 705 SE 3rd St. <br />Section 3. That the Chief Building Official of the City of Paris, be, and he is <br />hereby, directed to change the Official Zoning Map of the City of Paris, Texas to reflect <br />the changes set forth in this ordinance. <br />Section 4. That the City's Historic Preservation Ordinance, Chapter 9, Art. <br />9.05, Chapter 7, City of Paris Code of Ordinances, the City's Design Standards for <br />Historic Districts located in the City of Paris, Texas and the Secretary of the Interior's <br />Standards for the Treatment of Historic Properties, are incorporated herein by <br />reference and shall apply to the property encompassing the Historic Overlay District <br />created by this ordinance. <br />Section 5. That all provisions of the ordinances of the City of Paris, Texas in <br />conflict with the provisions of this ordinance are hereby repealed, and all other <br />provisions of the ordinances of the City of Paris not in conflict with the provisions of <br />this ordinance shall remain in full force and effect. <br />Section 6. That any person violating any provision of this ordinance shall be <br />guilty of a Misdemeanor, and upon conviction, shall be subject to a fine in accordance <br />with provisions of Sec. 1.01.009 of the City of Paris Code of Ordinances, and each and <br />every day's continuance of any violation of the above -enumerated sections shall <br />constitute and be deemed a separate offense. <br />Section 7. That the repeal of any ordinance or part of ordinances affected by <br />the enactment of this ordinance shall not be construed as abandoning any action now <br />pending under or by virtue of such ordinance or as discontinuing, abating, modifying, <br />or altering any penalty accruing or to accrue, or as affecting any rights of the <br />
