<br />PROFESSIONAL SERVICES CONTRACT <br /> <br />STATE OF TEXAS <br /> <br />s <br />s <br />s <br /> <br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS: <br /> <br />COUNTY OF LAMAR <br /> <br />THAT the City of Paris, Paris, Texas, a municipal <br />corporation, acting by and through its Mayor, George Fisher, <br />Jr., hereinafter referred to as CITY and Pat Murphy & <br />Associates, 2673 N. Main Street, Suite F, Paris, Texas <br />75460, acting by and through its proprietor, W. P. "Pat" <br />Murphy, hereinafter referred to as "APPRAISER", do contract <br />and agree as follows: <br /> <br />1. The CITY wishes to procure and the APPRAISER <br />desires to provide professional real estate appraisal <br />services as described in Exhibit A attached hereto and <br />incorporated herein for all legal purposes, for $9,600.00. <br /> <br />2. In the event that CITY needs and desires APPRAISER <br />to testify in court, APPRAISER agrees to so prepare and <br />testify in court at an hourly rate of $50.00 per hour for <br />preparation and testimony time. <br /> <br />3. CITY and APPRAISER each bind itself, its <br />successors, assigns and heirs to this agreement and to the <br />covenants contained herein. APPRAISER shall not assign, <br />sublet, or transfer its interest in the contract without the <br />written consent of CITY. <br /> <br />4. APPRAISER will not discriminate against any <br />employee or applicant for employment because of race, <br />religion, color, sex or national origin. APPRAISER will <br />take affirmative action to insure that applicants are <br />employed and that employees are treated during employment <br />without regard to their race, religion, color, sex or <br />national origin. Such action shall include, but is not <br />limited to the following: employment, upgrading, demotion <br />or transfer; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff, <br />termination; rates of payor other forms of compensation; <br />and selection for training, including apprenticeship. <br />APPRAISER agrees to post, in conspicuous places available to <br />employees and applicants for employment, notices setting <br />forth the requirements of these non-discrimination <br />provisions. <br /> <br />5.
