Discuss, conduct a public hearing, and act on ORDINANCE NO. 2022-035: AN <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE NO. 1710 OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />AS HERETOFORE AMENDED, SO AS TO ALLOW A SPECIFIC USE PERMIT <br />(SUP) IN A COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) FOR A SELF-STORAGE/MINI- <br />WAREHOUSE IN THE CITY OF PARIS, BLOCK 249, LOT 35A, LCAD #17987, <br />LOCATED AT 3055 CLARKSVILLE STREET; PROVIDING A REPEALER <br />CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A PENALTY <br />CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Planning Director Andrew Mack explained that this zoning case was continued because <br />staff was waiting on additional details that needed to be identified, and the applicant had since <br />provided the information. He said Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval, as <br />did staff with the condition of the applicant submitting all required information and remodeling <br />plans to the City Building Official and Fire Marshal for review; prior to issuance of a building <br />permit. <br />Mayor Portugal continued the public hearing from the May 23, 2022 meeting, and asked <br />for anyone wishing to speak in support or opposition of this item to please come forward. With <br />no one speaking, Mayor Portugal closed the public hearing. <br />
