Mayor Portugal asked Staff to proceed with the process. <br />City Clerk Janice said there were two vacant positions on the Paris Economic <br />Development Corporation, and read the names of the applicants. Upon completion of City <br />Council scoring the ballots, City Staff tallied the points given to each applicant and Ms. Ellis <br />announced the two persons receiving the most points were Erik Roddy and Stephen Terrell. <br />A Motion to appoint the two nominees to the PEDC was made by Council Member <br />Pankaj and seconded by Council Member Knox. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. <br />Ms. Ellis said there were two vacant positions on the Planning & Zoning Commission, <br />and read the names of the applicants. She said Jeffrey Nichols and Scott Jackson were two remaining <br />applicants and they were both pilots. <br />A Motion to appoint the two pilot nominees to the Airport Board and to re -advertise for a <br />civilian was made by Council Member Pilgrim and seconded by Council Member Pankaj. <br />Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. <br />Ms. Ellis said there were two vacant positions on the Band Commission, and that Betsy <br />Mills and Byron Myrick had submitted applications. <br />A Motion to appoint the two applicants to the Band Commission was made by Council <br />Member Pilgrim and seconded by Council Member Pankaj. Motion carried, 7 ayes — 0 nays. <br />Ms. Ellis said there were five vacant positions on the Building & Standards Commission, <br />and read the names of the applicants. Upon completion of City Council scoring the ballots, City <br />Staff tallied the points given to each applicant and Ms. Ellis announced the five persons <br />receiving the most points were Reeves Hayter, Richard Thompson, Andra "Kim" Walker, Chris <br />Fitzgerald and Carlton Cooper. <br />A Motion to appoint the five nominees to the Building & Standards Commission was <br />made by Council Member Savage and seconded by Council Member Moore. Motion carried, 7 <br />ayes — 0 nays. <br />Ms. Ellis said there were four vacant positions on the Historic Preservation Commission, <br />and read the names of the applicants. Ms. Ellis said there were certain requirements for this <br />
