5. Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition City of Paris for a <br />Master Thoroughfare Plan Amendment from a Minor Arterial Roadway to a Major <br />Collector Roadway on Fitzhugh Ave., North of Clement Rd to NE Loop 286. <br />Planning Director Andrew Mack presented the case to the commissioners stating the facts <br />provided in the planning report recommending approval of the amendment. <br />The public hearing was declared open. With no one speaking the public hearing was <br />declared closed. <br />A motion to approve this petition was made by Sims Norment, seconded by Michael <br />Mosher. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Public hearing to consider and take action regarding the petition of the City of Paris for a <br />Master Thoroughfare Plan Amendment from a Major Arterial Roadway to a Major <br />Collector Roadway on SE 3rd Street/FM 1497 from S Church Street to County Road <br />12600. <br />E <br />0114 1 1 MEM M, FM 5 <br />M 16 <br />ktat NIVIMOM <br />caused confusion for the citizens. Mack expressed the change would be in the Right -of - <br />Way requirement only from an 80 ft. Right -of -Way to a 60 ft Right -of -Way, Staff <br />recommends approval of the amendment. <br />The public hearing was declared open. Several citizens expressed concern of annexation <br />into the City limits, widening or narrowing of lanes. Commissioners Fendley and Austin <br />addressed the citizens' concerns and explained the verbiage in the public notices. With no <br />one else speaking the public hearing was declared closed. <br />Thoroughfare Plan Amendment. Motion carried 4-0. <br />7.
