One (1) full section <br />twenty -four (24 ") inch diameter CMP was placed in the line and <br />the r,,,, ;ainder was patched with half section CMP. <br />LONG TO GARRETT <br />* Pip -line as n repaired seven (7) to ten (10) times. Repairs <br />varied from full section twenty -four (24 ") inch diameter CMP to <br />half section CMP. Repairs totalled approximately seventy (70') <br />feet. <br />• In 1978, a tree fell into the pipeline just North of Long Street. <br />• Curreetly a cave in approx seventy -five (75') feet North of the <br />manhole at Lona. <br />CAMPBELL TO LONG <br />• 1979 pioel ne co apsed five (5) to six (6) times. Repairs were <br />made with half section CMP and one (1) twenty (20') foot long <br />full section twenty -four (24 ") inch diameter CMP. <br />• Currently a cave in approx fifty (50') feet South of the manhole <br />at Long Street. <br />SHILOH TO CAMPBELL <br />* 1983 pipeline co apse . Three (3) to four (4) times within a <br />one hundred (100') foot reach. Repaired with half section CMP <br />and one full section twenty -four (24 ") inch diameter CMP. <br />* 4 -9 -84 Replaced three hundred (300') feet of twenty -four (24 ") <br />inch line due to four (4) cave ins on that section the previous <br />week. <br />CHERRY TO SHILOH <br />• Seven (7) to ten repairs varying from the inserting of a <br />twenty (20 ") inch diameter CMP to the placement of half section <br />CMP and total replacement of the original pipe with twenty -four <br />(24 ") inch diameter CMP. <br />• Major failure in 1982. City hired B A B Equipment to install <br />one hundred (100') feet of polyethylene pipe. <br />Spent $15,000 - $20.000 <br />GRAHAM TO CHERRY <br />• No previous repairs prior to Spring, 1984. <br />• Coll'n ed January, 1984. City repaired approximately eighteen <br />(18') feet with half section CMP. <br />• Two weeks later pipeline collapsed immediately North of previous <br />repair. City hired large backhoe and rented a trenchbox and <br />aaein repaired twenty (20') feet to tewnty -five (25') feet with <br />half section CMP. <br />• Since those repairs, the pipeline has never had sufficient <br />capaci'y to accommodate the Woodard Lift Station flow. The <br />pipolin, is one -half to two- thirds silted in. We have tried to <br />check cleaning the line and presently have hired a contractor with <br />a bucket machine to drag the line clean. it was necessary to <br />again excavate the line just to get a wire cable through it to <br />accommodate this bucket machine. <br />Spent $16,000 - $20,000 in 1984 Not including $5,000 - $6,uuO <br />City Labor <br />• Cleaning operation had to be shut down due to caving in of line <br />during the cleaning process 4 -4 -84. <br />HOUSTON TO GRAHAM <br />• Seven (7) to ten 1 repairs with half section CMP covered with <br />concrete. Four (4') to eight (8') feet in length each time. <br />• Summer, 1982. Rain caused major collapse. City hired 8 6 8 <br />Equipment and relaid three hundred (300') feet of polyethylene <br />and concrete pipe. <br />Spent $20,000. <br />• December, 1983. Major collapse near Houston just South of the <br />previous 1982 repair. <br />SHERMAN TO BONHAM <br />• No Repairs. <br />BONHAM TO HOUSTON <br />• No Repairs. <br />Proposed location for Emergency Repair and <br />®�.4 Restoration of Central Interceptor. <br />
