Discuss, continue the public hearing and act on an Ordinance considering the petition of <br />Nathan Spaulding on behalf of Benton Rainey for a change in zoning from an <br />Agricultural District (A) to a Planned Development District (PD) in the City of Paris, <br />Block 351, Lot PT of 8, 72.262 acres, City of Paris, Block 352, Lot 6 & Block 351, Lot <br />PT of 8, 91,627 acres, City of Pairs, Block 351, Lot PT of 9, 19,2693 acres, located in the <br />3300 Block of Jefferson Road. <br />Mayor Portugal explained that at the Council meeting of July 25th, the public hearing was <br />opened and continued to this meeting. She said staff had requested this public hearing remain <br />open and that it be continued to the September 12th meeting, at which time they would hearing <br />the zoning case. Mayor Portugal continued the hearing to September 12tH <br />14. Discuss, conduct a public hearing and act on an ORDINANCE NO. 2022-050: AN <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />CONSIDERING THE PETITION FOR A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT <br />FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (LDR) AND COMMERCIAL (C), TO HIGH <br />DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (HDR), IN THE CITY OF PARIS, BLOCK, 266, LOT 3, <br />LOCATED AT 1335 N.E. 20TH STREET, PARIS, LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS (LCAD <br />18332); MAKING OTHER FINDINGS AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE <br />SUBJECT; PROVIDED A REPEALER CLAUSE, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE <br />DATE. <br />Planning Director Andrew Mack said the applicant applied for a minor amendment to the <br />Future Land Use Map to provide for a medium to high-density use of the property and for the <br />zoning to be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan.
