Mayor Pro - Tem Hughes said the concerns he had heard about were the buildings being three story. Mr. Mack said at this time they did not know if the buildings would be three story. Council Member Knox asked how this project compared in size to the Greenbriar Apartment Project. Mr. Mack said this one would be about 25% bigger but there would also be a lot more green space. Mayor Portugal opened the public hearing and asked for anyone wishing to speak in support or opposition of this item, to please come forward. With no one speaking, Mayor Portugal closed the public hearing. A Motion to approve this item was made by Council Member Council Member Pankaj and seconded by Council Member Pilgrim. STRIP OF LAND RUNNING BETWEEN THE WILLSHIRE ADDITION ON THE WEST AND THE ELLA KAY ADDITION ON THE EAST, LOCATED AT 1335 N.E. 20TH STREET (LOAD 18332), IN THE CITY OF PARIS, LAMAR COUNTY, TEXAS, FROM A ONE -FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 3 (SF -3) AND COMMERCIAL DISTRICT (C) TO A MULTIPLE - FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT NO. 2 (MF -2); DIRECTING A CHANGE ACCORDINGLY IN THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY; PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A SAVINGS CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. He also said it was undetermined whether the complex would be two-story or three story. Mr. Mack said the Planning & Zoning Commission and staff recommended approval of this zoning change.
