SPECIAL MEETING <br />MINUTES <br />CITY OF PARIS BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF PARIS - CITY HALL <br />COUNCIL CHAMBERS CONFERENCE_ ROOM <br />PARIS. TEXAS <br />TUESDAY AUGUSTm2M.a 2022 <br />12:U0 OO'CLOCK P.M. <br />1, The Board of Adjustment meeting was called to order by RuthAnn Alsobrook at 12: 00 p. m. <br />The following members were present: RuthAmi Alsobrook, Larry Walker, William <br />Sanders and David Hamilton. <br />Also present were Andrew Mack, Robert Vine, Chris Donnan, Stephanie Harris, Mayor <br />Portugal and concerned citizens. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (July 5, 2022) <br />Motion was made by Larry Walker, seconded by David Hamilton to approve minutes for the July <br />5, 2022 meeting. Motion carried 4-0. <br />Public hearing to consider and take action on the petition of Marx Offutt regarding <br />variances to the City of Paris Off -Street Parking and Loading Regulations Paving <br />Standards on Lot 1, Block A, of the Offutt North Main Addition CB 78, being located at <br />423 N Main Street, sections as follows: <br />1) 10-110(a) variance to allow parking lot to remain as is. <br />2) 10-110(c) variance to allow parking lot to remain as is. <br />Andrew Mack, Director of Planning & Zoning, presented case to the board. <br />Chris Donnan, Interim City Engineer from Hayter Engineering, explained to the board the <br />existing conditions of the parking lot and how he does not believe it meets the intention of the <br />ordinance. <br />There was discussion amongst the board and staff on condition, material, drainage, layout and <br />safety of the existing parking lot and what is required per the ordinance. There was also <br />discussion of options that have been presented to the applicant to meet the requirements. <br />Ms. Alsobrook declared the public hearing open. <br />Staff member, Paige Unger, made note of input forms submitted as follows: <br />
