Motion carried unanimously. 6-0
4. Code Report
Assistant City Manager Rob Vine and Robert Talley have been working on an ordinance
for salvaging materials prior to demolition. The goal is to demolition more houses. This
will allow contractors to de -construct structure before they are torn down. At this time we
have no contractors signed up to do this but they will be advertising. There will be a $25
permit fee and if two contractors bid on the same house there will be a process in place to
decide which contractor will be given the structure. We are hoping this will speed up the
demolition process.
Discussion of the property on Bonham Street and the fence and art projects that have been
approved. There should be progress in the next 2 weeks.
4. Adjournment
Motion made by Adam Bolton seconded by Richard Thompson to adjourn the
meeting at 4:27 pm. Motion carried unanimously. 6-0
APPROVED THIS 15th DAY OF SEPTEMBER 19,
