CITY COUNCIL AGENDA <br />Notice is hereby given that the City Council of the City of Paris shall meet in regular session <br />at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2022. The meeting will be held at the City Council <br />Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman Street, in Paris, Texas. Due to the CoVID outbreak, facemasks <br />are encouraged for those in attendance of the meeting in the City Council Chamber. Due to <br />the pandemic concerns, one or all Council Members may be attending remotely, but the feed <br />will be available for live viewing at https://paristexas.gov/public. The matters to be <br />discussed and acted upon are as follows: <br />Opening Agenda <br />1. Call meeting to order. <br />2. Invocation. <br />3. Pledge of Allegiance. <br />4. A. Presentation of Mayor's Yard of the Month Awards. <br />B. Citizens' forum. <br />(Persons desiring to address the Council must limit their presentation to no more than two minutes. Unless <br />an item is posted on the Agenda, the Texas Open Meetings Act prohibits the Council from responding to <br />any comments other than to refer the matter to a future agenda, to an existing policy, or to a staff person <br />with specific factual information. Claims against the City, Council Members, or employees, as well as <br />individual personal appeals are not appropriate for citizens' forum.) <br />If necessary, the City Council may convene into Executive Session under Chapter 551 of the Texas <br />Government Code regarding any item on this agenda. <br />Consent Agenda <br />Items on the Consent Agenda are approved by a single action of the Council, with such approval applicable <br />to all items appearing on the Consent Agenda. A Council Member may request any item to be removed <br />from the Consent Agenda and considered as a separate item. <br />5. Approve minutes from the meetings of September 13, 2022 and September 26, 2022. <br />6. Receive reports and/or minutes from the following boards and commissions: <br />a. Paris Visitors & Convention Council Board of Directors (8-15-2022) <br />b. Historic Preservation Commission (8-10-2022) <br />c. Planning & Zoning Commission (9-13-2022 & 10-3-2022) <br />d. Paris -Lamar County Board of Health (7-18-2022) <br />7. Approve a Resolution finding that Electric Delivery Company LLC's ("Oncor" or <br />"Company") Application to Change Rates within the City should be denied; finding that <br />the city's reasonable Rate Cases expenses shall be reimbursed by the Company; finding <br />that the meeting at which this Resolution is passed is open to the public as required by <br />law; requiring Notice of this Resolution to the Company and legal counsel. <br />
