HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION MINUTES <br />107 E KAUFMAN ST <br />PARIS, TEXAS 75460 <br />WEDNESDAY AUGUST 10TH 2022 <br />4:00 P.M. <br />ATTENDED <br />Chris Dux <br />Ryan Matthews <br />Matthew Coyle <br />Glee Emmite <br />Linda Vandiver <br />Laura Caffey <br />Cheri Bedford- HPO <br />Robert Vine, Assistant City Manager <br />District 5 Councilwoman Knox <br />Chairman Dux called the meeting to order at 4:00 p.m. <br />No one was present for the citizen's forum <br />ABSENT <br />Jessica Holtman <br />Jennifer Long <br />GUESTS <br />Cody Kelley <br />David Alarid <br />Ryan O'Carroll <br />Bailee Nickerson <br />Lydia Fitzgerald <br />The July 13d`, 2022 meeting minutes were approved by acclamation. <br />First item of business was the election of officers. Chris Dux was elected for Chairman for <br />next year by acclamation. Both Matthew Coyle and Laura Caffey were nominated for Vice <br />Chairman, however there was a tie. When there is a full commission they will vote again. <br />Linda Vandiver was nominated and elected as secretary by acclamation. No revisions were <br />needed in the July 13d' meeting minutes. <br />The commission took a break to take a photo of Cody Kelly receiving his fagade grant check. <br />David Alarid had a COA that was approved by the commission in 2019 for HD-1 property <br />100 NW Yd Street -Fence. Mr. Alarid attended the meeting by Zoom to represent his <br />Certificate of Appropriateness. This is a reapplication for that location and David did not <br />change anything from the original COA in 2019. Since its unmodified COA, that was not <br />unchanged, a motion was made by Commissioner Matthews to approve the COA, seconded <br />by Commissioner Vandiver, motion carried. <br />Cheri updated the commission for Ellen Green of HD -2 648 Yd SE, has been working on her <br />property, and the 6 month window for COA has not expired, but the fagade grant needs to be <br />extended until she has completed the painting. The fagade grant expired in May. A motion <br />was made by Commissioner Matthews to approve the extension of the fagade grant and <br />
