IfProposition B is approved by the voters on November 8, 2022, Sec. 21(2) of the Charter will <br />thereafter read as follows: <br />(2) Establish administrative departments. <br />Proposition C <br />Proposition C ballot language shall read: <br />Shall Sec. 38 of the Charter be amended todelete outdated language related to retirement <br />pensions, insurance, and disabled employees, in order to reflect current operations and policy? <br />If Proposition C is approved by the voters on November 8, 2022, Sec. 38 of the Charter will <br />thereafter read as follows: <br />Sec. 38. Disabled employees, pensions and insurance. <br />The city council shall have authority to provide for rules and regulations for <br />maintaining employees when injured and disabled while performing their duties, or <br />it may provide for such plan of insurance as it deems proper. The city council shall <br />have authority to establish a pension and retirement system for any or all groups of <br />employees in the service of the city. The cost of the system shall be determined <br />actuarially on the basis of such mortality and service tables as are required under <br />state law. The provisions of the ordinance establishing such a pension and <br />retirement system shall require periodic actuarial evaluations, which shall serve as <br />the basis of any changes in the rates of contributions and shall also provide for the <br />maintenance at all times of adequate reserves to meet all accrued liabilities. People <br />employed on a full-time basis by the Cityshallbe required to join the system as a <br />condition of employment. The city council shall have authority, on behalf of the <br />City of Paris and its employees, to join or participate in any district or statewide <br />pension and retirement system which has been established by the Legislature of the <br />State of Texas. <br />Proposition D <br />Proposition D ballot language shall read: <br />Shall Sec. 43 of the Charter be amendedto clarify that the City Manager may distribute <br />the work of each administrative department without establishment of an ordinance, in <br />order to reflect current operations and policy? <br />2 <br /> <br /> <br />
