Discuss, conduct a public hearing and act on ORDINANCE NO. 2022-079: AN <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS, <br />CONSIDERING THE PETITION FOR A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT <br />FROM AN AGRICULTURAL DISTRICT (A) TO A MULTIPLE -FAMILY DISTRICT <br />NO. 2 (MF -2) IN THE CITY OF PARIS, BLOCK 317, LOT PT OF 5, A208 CROW <br />SURVEY, LOCATED AT 4065 PINE MILL ROAD (LOAD 126663); DIRECTING A <br />CHANGE ACCORDINGLY IN THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY; <br />PROVIDING A REPEALER CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, A SAVINGS <br />CLAUSE, A PENALTY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mayor Portugal opened the public hearing and asked for anyone wishing to speak about <br />this item, to please come forward. Discuss, conduct a public hearing and act on ORDINANCE NO. 2022-080: AN <br />ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />CONSIDERING THE PETITION FOR A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT <br />FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL (LDR) TO MEDIUM DENSITY <br />RESIDENTIAL (MDR) IN THE CITY OF PARIS, BLOCK 112-C, LOTS 7 AND 8A, <br />LOCATED AT 578 S.E. 15TH STREET (LCAD 15790); MAKING OTHER FINDINGS <br />AND PROVISIONS RELATED TO THE SUBJECT; PROVIDING A REPEALER <br />CLAUSE, A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE, AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Mack said that the applicant sought a minor amendment to the Future Land Use Map <br />to provide for a medium-high density residential use of the property and for the zoning to be <br />consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan. He said the ability to provide for more medium- <br />high density housing in the designated 5 In 5 eligibility area of the City was a very important <br />accommodation to achieve the goal of affordable housing opportunities in the community. <br />Mayor Portugal inquired about access and driveways.
