George Preston working with Judge Bell on an order of sale. Amba Bates is present <br />and she and her husband have been maintaining the property. They have a buyer <br />for the property. George is asking for addition time on this property. <br />Robert Talley stated the property is unsecure, missing wood, roof leaking, ceiling <br />damage, water damage, holes in floor, rotting wood and holes in walls. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Secure 14 days, repair in 90 days, or it comes <br />back to the commission. <br />Motion made by Adam Bolton, seconded by Kim Walker, to follow staff <br />recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />Chris Fitzgerald enter back into meeting. <br />E. 320 & 324 SE 6th; City Block 116, Lot 6 <br />Owner: Vicente & Anna Flores 59 12th SE Paris, TX 75460 <br />Vicente & Anna Flores Present <br />Robert Talley stated the structure has deteriorated wood, rotting wood, missing <br />bottom plate, foundation damage, it's sinking in the ground, ceiling peeling, the <br />back is collapsing, roof leaks and cracks on the ceiling inside. <br />The Flores asked for more time. They are giving the property to a friend and the <br />friend has the means to fix it up. <br />Discussion on how long the process to transfer the property would take. Robert <br />Talley stated that once the property is transferred to the new owner and they state <br />work on the structure it can always come back to the commission if progress is <br />being made. The City of Paris building inspectors would have to be satisfied and <br />building permits would have to be pulled. <br />Paula Portugal: 2020 38t NE City Council member stated giving an extension <br />would be wasting time, and she disagrees with giving them 60 days instead of 30 <br />days. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo within 30 days, or <br />city has right to do so. <br />Motion made by Mike Folmar, seconded by Kim Walker, to follow staff <br />recommendation.
