Nothing has been done in six months and now the back is <br />collapsed. <br />James Bell stated that he has been working on the structure to tear it down. This <br />is why it looks worse than it did earlier. James is trying to save the front of the <br />house but he's 75 and working by himself. He asked for more time, 90 days. <br />Discussion of previous pictures and new pictures. They all agree that work has <br />been done with the property looks worse due to the work. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, demo within 30 days, or <br />city has right to do so. <br />Motion made by Richard Thompson, seconded by Kim Walker, to follow staff <br />recommendation. Motion carried unanimously. 5-0 <br />A. 965 W Austin; City Block 131, Lot 7-B <br />Owner: Joyce Freeman 655 S Main Paris, TX 75460 <br />Joyce is deceased and his son William Freeman has been in contact. <br />Robert Talley stated there is lots of junk and rubbish and there was a camper there <br />but it has been removed. The renters have been evicted. Items need removed are <br />buckets, metal, toilet, brush, limbs, tires, appliances, mattresses, plastic tables, <br />boxes of rubbish, auto seats, broken windows, drop clothes, litter, water heater, <br />bags of trash, fan, T.V., broken lawn mowers, lumber, bricks and other junk and <br />rubbish. Robert stated that the structure will be coming to the commission soon. <br />Robert Talley's recommendation: Declare a nuisance, remove rubbish within <br />30 days, or city has right to do so. <br />Discussion of civil penalties, you can only put civil penalties on structures, not <br />rubbish cases per Stephanie Harris, City Attorney. <br />
