Copies of the r 2021 International Fuel Gas Code will be maintained <br />on file in the office of the planning and development department and may be viewed <br />online at htt s://codes.iccsafe.or codes i-codes/2021-icode, and the provisions <br />thereof shall be controlling as set out herein in the construction of all buildings and <br />other structures within the corporate limits of the city. <br />§ 4.02.152 Amendments. <br />The c --A- dde adepted Jay s e etien 4.02. 1-5 1- is he-Feby amended -AS Set A-4-4 t: J 4-4- thi S Se etion: S e etion- <br />1 08 n Violation penalties, shall be idea +„ r -,d follows: <br />The following sections, paragraphs, and sentences of the 2021 International Fuel Gas <br />Code adopted by Section 4.02.151 are hereby amended as follows: <br />Amend Section 102.2. Existing installations, by adding the following Exception: <br />Exception: Existing dwelling units shall comply with Section 621.2. <br />Amend Section 102.8. Referenced codes and standards, to read as follows: <br />102.8 Referenced codes and standards. The codes and standards referenced in <br />this code shall be those that are listed in Chapter 8 and such codes, when <br />specifically adopted, and standards shall be considered part of the requirements <br />of this code to the prescribed extent of each such reference. Where differences <br />occur between provisions of this code and the referenced standards, the <br />provisions of this code shall apply. Whenever amendments have been adopted to <br />the referenced codes and standards, each reference to said code and standard <br />shall be considered to reference the amendments as well. Any reference to NFPA <br />70 or the National Electrical Code shall mean the Electrical Code as adopted. <br />Amend Section 115.4, Violation penalties, to read as follows: <br />115.4 Violation penalties. Persons who shall violate a provision of this code, fail <br />to comply with any of the requirements thereof or erect, install, alter or repair <br />work in violation of the approved construction documents or directive of the code <br />official, or of a permit or certificate issued under the provisions of this code, shall <br />be guilty of a misdemeanor, punishable by a fine of not more than $2.000.00, and <br />each and every day's continuance of any violation of the provisions of this code <br />shall constitute and be deemed a separate offense. A violation of this code is a <br />strict liability offense. <br />49 <br />
