MINUTES OF THE BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />FEBRUARY 7, 2023 <br />The Board of Adjustment of the City of Paris met for a regular session at 12 p.m. on <br />February 7, 2023, at the City of Paris- City Hall, Council Chambers located at 107 E Kaufman St. <br />Present: Board Members: RuthAnn Alsobrook, Larry Walker, Lydia Fitzgerald and <br />Alix Putnam <br />City Representatives: Andrew Mack, Stephanie Harris, Mayor Portugal <br />and Robert Vine. <br />Absent: Board Members: David Hamilton, Carlton Cooper and Sequoia Bruce. <br />1. The Board ofAdjustment meeting was called to order by RuthAnn Alsobrook at 12:00p. m. <br />2. Approval of minutes from previous meeting. (January 3, 2023) <br />Motion was made by Larry Walker, seconded by Alix Putnam to approve minutes for the <br />January 3, 2023 meeting. Motion carried 4 ayes — 0 nays. <br />3. Continue public hearing to consider and take action on the petition of Michael Blackburn <br />regarding a variance to the City of Paris Buffering Regulations, Section 30-102(2)(a) on <br />Lot 1, Block of the B&B Wash Addition being located at 324 North Main Street. <br />Andrew Mack, Director of Planning & Zoning, presented case to the board. <br />The was brief discussion amongst Mr. Mack and the board about the intended flow of <br />traffic and whether or not directional signage is required. <br />No one else spoke in favor or opposition of the request. <br />Public hearing was declared closed. <br />Motion was made by Larry Walker, seconded by Alix Putnam to approve the 6' ROW <br />Buffer variance to the City of Paris Buffering Regulations, Section 30-102(2)(a) based on <br />the following condition and findings of fact. Motion carried 4 ayes- 0 nays. <br />Conditions <br />1. The site plan shall be revised to include a dumpster enclosure area according to requirements. <br />FindinLs <br />1. The request for variance is in harmony with the general purposes and intent of site <br />improvement regulations contained in the Zoning Ordinance 1710 Exhibit 9B and the <br />Subdivision Ordinance 1315 Exhibit 9A; and will protect the character of the immediate <br />vicinity of the Pine Bluff and Main Street intersection of this commercial corridor north of the <br />downtown area. <br />
