Receive Activity Report from Glee Emmite for updated map report. The purpose of the <br />map is for tourists. On the back of map to include other points of interest in Paris - for <br />example Maxey Museum, Eiffel Tower, etc. Historic Markers and Murals to be included. <br />4. Receive Main Street Coordinator's Report from Cheri Bedford — Backend parking trial <br />July 7 — July 29th- Press release will be sent to all downtown businesses. Friday, on west <br />side of plaza temporary stripping will be placed. Friday 10-5pm opinion cards will be <br />distributed to participants. Julia Crawford is providing buttons "I backed into <br />Downtown". A drawing for cards turned in for a free t -shirt. Paristexas.gov/parking to <br />read press release. The eclipse April 0, 2024: Parissolareclipse.com. Main St America <br />announced a $10,000 grant available. Webinar scheduled tomorrow, 10:00 a.m. to watch <br />what other communities are doing. An eclipse table is set up at the 903 Concert Series. <br />Salsa on the Square, Sept 2nd — the band is booked. Kari Daniel and Glee Emmite <br />volunteered to help. Dance group may come to teach salsa dancing. The Paris City <br />Council approved a bump out on Grand Ave, by Mustard Seed and 107. Pumpkin <br />Festival is coming up. Main Street Training starts next week. The Point is a Main Street <br />America website available to all board members. The Work Plan: Cheri has talked to a <br />Creative Collaborative Facilitator. Start with a survey of downtown. Will have dates <br />soon. Shannon Jones from New Generation Church is organizing Gospel Night on the <br />Plaza event. Churches from the area are invited. Main Street will submit permit request. <br />July 12t, 6:30-8:30. Free event. Main St will help promote. Main Street branding will <br />change to compliment new city brand. Market Square branding will change too. Main <br />Street website page will update, more dynamic. Tour de Paris is July 15th. Downtown <br />businesses need to have their Distrix information up to date. <br />Receive Activity Report from Andrew Mack: Re: Farmer's Market Arts and Music Event <br />has been postponed to next year, July 19, 2024 (tentatively).
