Cherry <br />D. <br />385 NE 14th <br />E. <br />503 NE 12a' <br />On a motion by Commissioner Matthews, seconded by Commissioner Emmite, the Consent <br />Agenda was approved. Ayes 7, Nays 0. <br />8. Coordinators report HPO Bedford reported that she had received a letter from <br />Commissioner Caffey resigning from the Commission. A special meeting has been <br />scheduled for June 26, 2023, at 4:00 PM to revisit the COA for 11 S. Plaza. HPO <br />Bedford will be out-of-town, but the owner is very anxious to get the COA approved. <br />Andrew Mack, Director of Planning and Community Development for the City of Paris <br />will attend in her place. HPO Bedford has sent information via Dropbox to the <br />Commissioners. Mr. Pena will be sending an architectural rendering of the project. The <br />new schedule of Facade Grant Applications was approved by the City Council at the June <br />12, 2023 meeting. A back -end angled parking three week trial study is coming to Paris <br />starting July 7. 2023. This study will be conducted on the south side of the Plaza. There <br />is information on the City's website with a video. It was recommended by TxDOT that a <br />street that is less busy be used for the study. The City Council also approved an <br />engineering plan for Hayter Engineering to design a curb extension on Grand Avenue. <br />The plan must be done to ensure that drainage from the buildings is appropriate. The cost <br />is $14,000 and there will be some grant money to cover a portion of the cost. HPO <br />Bedford reminded the Commission of the April 8, 2024 Eclipse (1:44 PM is the time of <br />the totality) that will cross over Paris. Activities are being planned. Reservations at local <br />hotels are already being booked. She asked the Commissioners to visit the website "Great <br />American Eclipse 2024” for more information. <br />9. Recognition of outgoing members HPO Bedford recognized Commissioners Dux and <br />Emmite who will be leaving the Commission due to term limits. Commissioner Dux has <br />served since 2015 first in an unexpired term and served as chairman since 2016. <br />
