MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br />OF THE CITY OF PARIS, TEXAS <br />August 8, 2023 <br />The City Council of the City of Paris met for a special session at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, <br />August 8, 2023, at the City Council Chamber, 107 E. Kaufman, Paris, Texas. <br />Present: Mayor: Reginald B. Call meeting to order. <br />Mayor Hughes called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m. <br />2. Citizens' forum. <br />No one spoke during citizens' forum. <br />3. Receive presentation, discuss and provide direction on the FY 2023-2024 budget for the <br />City of Paris. <br />City Manager Grayson Path announced that department heads and supervisors were in <br />attendance should anyone have questions of them. <br />Mr. Path referenced the budget memo he provided to City Council on July 25, 2023 and <br />revised on August 5, 2023. Mr. Path addressed budget priorities, balance of operational funds, <br />the property tax rate, general fund revenue, general fund expenditures, and gave an overview of <br />each department budget.
